The physical manifestations of identity exist beyond what we wear. How much more, then, is this true of tattoos? What about getting your hair dyed like your favorite singer’s? Or maybe getting a piercing to show what an adult you are? It seems like there’s a girl on my Instagram feed chopping off massive amounts of her hair with the caption, “New hair, new me!” every other week. What are the circumstances of your confrontation? Coffee shops and gymnasiums seem innocent enough, but what if you are talking to someone at the bar after you had a couple of drinks? While your friends decide to get belligerently bashed into the night, you have the great luck of meeting an obviously appealing soul. So why did you guys break-up?
